- Started a not-for-profit program after the loss of our daughter in 2004 from being left unattended in an automobile by her sitter. Now working as a VP with KidsandCars.org June 13, 2008 a milestone for Hawaii children was completed with the passage of a traffic violation law with an educational component. I was able to make the journey back to Hawaii and be at the bill signing ceremony in honor of Aslyn Ryan, my little girl. This bill made education of the dangers of children being left unattended in cars a main focus for new drivers and for tourists renting cars for the state.
